Sebastian is a hand-woven wool carpet conceived as a translation between media: from painting to digital image, and from digital language to textile form. The piece originates from a digitalized tree painting by Miguel Andrade Valdez, created at a moment of personal significance, as his son Sebastian was about to be born. This origin infuses the work with a sense of continuity, growth, and quiet intensity.

Faithful to the practice of Taller Tarapaca, the carpet embodies a process of transformation across plastic, digital, and textile media. This translation is interpreted and materialized by master weaver Inocencio Fernández, whose expertise gives tactile depth and structural clarity to the original image. Hand-woven in 100% wool, Sebastian balances emotional narrative with formal precision, resulting in a collectible piece designed to adapt to different spatial contexts.
